Another delivery of KPM’s Consistency products to CMPC in Chile.
Co-operation between Kajaani
Process Measurements Ltd. (KPM) and
CMPC S.A in Chile
continues with a new major supply of consistency transmitters and sampling
devices. The latest delivery is for a new pulp mill of CMPC Celulosa
S.A., in Santa Fe,
Chile.
During recent years KPM
has delivered several projects and products for CMPC’s
mills.
CMPC Celulosa S.A. is
building another pulp line in Santa Fe. When completed in 2006, the new line will
produce 780,000 t/a of Bleached Eucalyptus market pulp (BEK). The Santa
Fe mill, located near Nacimiento (500 km south of Santiago),
currently has one fiberline producing 370,000 t/a of BEK. Line 2 will
have over double of capacity compared to Line 1, boosting the mill's total
market pulp output to over 1.1 million tons per year.
CMPC Celulosa is the Pulp
Business subsidiary of Empresas CMPC S.A.,
established in the year 1920 as forestry integrated company, using only man planted
forests. It is the oldest paper producing company in Chile
and CMPC operates three pulp mills and many paper
mills in Chile. CMPC group is the fourth biggest
pulp and paper manufacturer in Latin
America.
The main supplier of the project is Andritz, which delivers complete line -
from the digester to finished bales of market pulp as well as major chemical recovery
systems. KPM’s delivery of consistency
transmitters and pulp sampling devices supplement Andritz’s
complete project supply in consistency, as e.g. in Veracel
delivery in 2005.
